Socorro Electric Cooperative Reform Committee (SECRC) Mission Statement


The mission of the SECRC is to ensure that the co-op’s Board of Trustees becomes, and then remains accountable to its members by carrying out its stated aim which is “to make (reliable, safe) electric energy available to its members at the lowest cost consistent with sound economy and good management.”

In active and observable pursuit of this mandate, the Board of Trustees shall strictly obey the SEC Articles of Incorporation and its Bylaws; the rules and regulations of the Rural Utility Service and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission; establish and sustain members’ ownership rights through fair and honest treatment; plan and operate open and fair elections; and comply with its lenders’ terms and conditions.
